Don't they look sweet? My poor gimpy husband(remember he just had surgery 2 weeks ago) has had to calm poor Keaton down coming out of anesthesia, he had his tonsils and adnoids out. It took pacing and a lot of jiggling. He was asked to take over after the poor kids mother who was trying to console him while laying down on the bed passed out. After not being able to get Travis's attention because he was discussing our sons surgery with the nurse, the doctor finally looked down and said, "Oh my god, you're soaking with sweat." This was after I had come too. Nice huh?? The second time I started to go I was sitting next to the bed and just had to put my head between my knees, my darling husband said, " Are you serious?" and kind of laughed. The third time he sounded a bit annoyed and said "You've got to be kidding me." I can't even say there was blood and guts-it was just simply the smell and...me being a bit pathetic. Please keep in mind I assisted in surgeries for 6 1/2 years. I have no excuses-oh, by the way Keaton is doing great!!!!

Darling Devon
Devon has his own amusement park. The thing is he's the only one allowed to get in. He's often needing "redirection" because he easily gets lost in his own little land. He'll be sent to get his shoes and when he hasn't returned 10 minutes later you'll find him curled up with his markers and paper making a book of animal facts. He's incredibly creative and smart. Although he's often in trouble for not listening, we also know this is what we love the most about him and what makes him so uniquely special.
Feeling a little nerdy
I'm sharing this because Bryce played the part so well. This was actually Halloween, he was the best nerd I've ever seen. As my anxiety increases about him going into middle school next year, I'm hoping that if I can convince him this is the look for him, he'll go with it and the little ladies will stop hanging around. We were at the mall last weekend and he was a short ways ahead of Travis and I and noticed these two little teeny boppers checking him out. Then they started following him oblivious to the fact that his mom and dad were behind him, they were giggling and commenting that he was cute! The nerve, do their mothers know what they're up to????
Two of a kind
Last fall we lost our beloved Daisy dog. She will be in our hearts and memories always. After we lost her 'coming home' as very lonely. We had heard nothing but wonderful things about golden retrievers so we decided to start another crazy dog chapter and added Gus. Gus is a wonderfully loving big oaf of a dog, the vet has commented numerous times that he's such a BIG retriever. He's convinced he's a lap dog and knows he was meant to make himself a part of every mundane task. After loading whites in the washing machine it never fails he has loaded 3 socks in his mouth and is following right behind me, surely he's helping. Our biggest hope was that he becomes Keatons sidekick, the big guys are always taking off and leaving him behind. Watch what you wish for right? Keaton and Gus are the greatest of friends, when they're not fighting over a toy or sitting on each other they seem to think alike . If it's not one it's the other into something, but they're thick as thieves and we love watching the devotion they show for one another.
