OMG!! Keaton is 6???

"NO WAY" Just what I've always wanted!
A wrestle with me Kung Fu Panda-he doesn't know whats about to hit him!

My ohhh so sweet face is very happy!!

Keaton wants to blow out the candles for everyones birthday wish!! Anytime someone comes over he lets us know we should celebrate with candles. And look- how much is that doggy in the window?

Citizenship and Overall Great Student Award goes to Devon!

I got a surprise call from the principal which always stops the heart...she was explaining that Devon, and 19 others, had been chosen by the teachers and staff to recieve a brand new bike for his outstanding citizenship and overall great student status!
She went on to say this was a surprise and the kids wouldn't even know why they were going to this assembly. We were to sneak in so we didn't give the surprise away. She called on a Tuesday morning and the assembly was the following Monday! I am not so good at keeping secrets especially since he was having a no good, horrible oh woh is me week.

This smile was on his face for the following week! We are so proud of this little bugger-he's really coming out of his shell.

Happy Halloween...again!

This dinosaur costume has been through all 3 kids...and loved by all. Bryce wanted to be this dinosaur so baaaddd when he was 4...I had to order it from the Disneyland park and have it shipped. The perks of being the first born. He will never understand the privileges he's had.
Devon has never cared for trick or treating, but he's a nice big brother (he's the one in the creepy mask in case you couldn't tell) and willing to take Keaton around the block. Bryce is off with his friends and wouldn't slow down long enough for me to take his picture. His costume consisted of a mask...very creative. He's on the verge of being too old but "all my friends are going" was just too strong of an argument.

More of Crusher...Crushing

This picture had to be posted...who knew he could look so mean.
Devons the one on the far left running for all he's worth.

Running for a touchdown on the blue field...he hopes this is the first of MANY in his lifetime.

RUN FORREST RUN!!!

Where'd he get that game face??

He wasn't overly thrilled to have his pic taken, but we are thankful Grandpa Kelly made him pose...when he's on the field nothing else matters. The cheerleaders could be naked and I don't think he'd notice...well maybe not-
Coach Botkins will always be one of Bryce's very favorite coaches.

He looks like a midget next to these boys that are GIGANTIC sized. Bryce has a hard time remembering he's one of the very youngest in his class, therefore on the field also. These kids are a year+ older than he is.

The Sabercats went undefeated, then lost the championship-big bummer!!

(I do have to mention this was the one game he didn't play in...just sayin')

He does have a football swagger...

They Call Me Crusher...

He may not be the biggest kid on the team, but as the coach says "Don't underestimate the power this kid has..."
It'll take more than just two to take me down.

Devons BFF Hayden is the quarterback for the team this year and it's so much fun to listen to how supportive they are of each other. You can tell they have hours of backyard football logged together.

Finally Time To Tackle

FOREVER! That's how long this child has waited to play tackle football.
It's so uncool to be letting me take pics in his uniform...but it had to be done. He's loving every minute of it and we are so excited for him.

Back To School

First out the door. 7:00 a.m. My handsomest 8th grader. I can't believe next year he'll be off to high school. EEKS! He's completely annoyed I'm making him pose for pics.
Awww...next my darling Devon who normally won't get out of bed without threatening to stick fireworks where the sun don't shine is up an hour earlier than he has to be with a...what's that on his face? A SMILE?

...and he's off to forth grade. I'm wiping the tears from my eyes as I type.

And it's time for kindergarten...this smile is especially for Granny Goose.

Ohhh so big.

Dirt Dreams

Keaton starts every day talking about motorcycles. He, like our other children who apparently have motor oil in the blood, is obsessed. Every day multiple times we have to have a dirtbike conversation and assure him we'll go soon.

Devon tearing it up, this bike was too big last year and it's his first bike with a clutch-there's a lot to remember and often frustrating for him but when it all goes well...he's living in his own little dream world with fans cheering and narily clad women waiting to give him trophies. No pics of Bryce because two days ago he was run over by an oncoming bike. He was riding in the mountains of Idaho City on a "guy ride" with his dad when he was hit head on by a @#$#@#. Travis threw his bike down, we all know this took a lot because he LOVES that bike-I joke it's his well kept mistress, and out of fear and anger was ready to take the guy on. Bryce being Bryce, got between five full grown men with testosterone oozing and defused the situation. He's pretty amazing-I heard several times from Tony he couldn't believe how he stepped in the middle and apologized stating it was his fault and pushing Tony and his dad back to their bikes..I've always said politician-maybe a diplomat?

Outing with the Oldhams

Brrrr....notice the snow not that far up the mountain. That water was so cold, Kyle was trembling and teeth were chattering but would he stay out of the water? Heck no.
Keaton had so much fun filling in the holes Devon dug.
He informed us it doesn't have to be HOT to make California raisins(it would be inappropriate to provide an explanation-think shrivel)...Ohhh so cold.
At least Rachel was smart enough to stay out of the water and sun herself with me.

This is a happy face. The rest of the trip my hands were busy and I got no other pics-but it was good times.

Bowling For Buzzards

Oh what fun to be a kid.
Waha-hooweee!!
Strike! I just scored my first perfect bowling game.
Gus didn't know what to think of the kids catching air-he wanted to do it sooooo bad.
And he made it.

Take A Load Off...

So Gus has found a new favorite place to nap...notice he has just enough butt cheek on the couch to have to stand on his tippy toes.

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!! MY FRIENDS...

What a very looonnngggg season of spring tackle football. Great lessons have been learned and new friendships have been made. All in all a good season.
Pretty rough start to todays game-Bryce has a case of nerves/bad batch of dinner last night which led him to hours on the throne followed by "up chucking" his little heart out through the first half of the game. He played but he wasn't as peppy as he normally is.

We are so proud of him and the heart he puts into all he does...especially football. I will never tire of watching he and Devon play.

4-2 season plus the Championship win against the Black Knights 20-6. It was the roughest season (emotionally and physically) Bryce has ever had but he came through it a better player.

GO BRONCOS!!!!

Preschool Graduation! (Please don't make my baby go...)

Poor Ms. Jana has been easing me into the "kindergarten thing" since this school year started. She has been very nice and patient with me telling me Keaton will be fine...I'M NOT and no one seems to care!
OHHHH Ms. Jana we will miss you so! She has been one of Keatons biggest fans in his little life and we don't want to leave her!
