Children and explosive things-surely this is a safe combination.

Devon got to light his own this year. I'm still holding my breath that nothing explodes in his sweet little face.

We celebrated with our wonderful next door neighbors, the Wilcox's, this year. It was great fun and a lot of chaos. I didn't get any pictures of the "candy cannon" Jay built but it was a large contraption that shot out oodles of candy at the kids. It was great. I didn't find out until after the fact that they, Jay and Travis, had launched a raw egg into the neighborhood next to ours. They didn't let me in until I was talking about how much trouble the teenage kids behind us were going to get into as they were launching roman candles at each other. We are such good examples to the wee ones.
