No Name Lake, Idaho (best little spot ever)

This was by far the most beautiful place we've been so far. Travis told me we were heading about 45 minutes outside of Idaho City. As our trip went on it turns out we were heading 2 hours out of Idaho City to one of the record setting coldest places in the U.S., Stanley Idaho.
There were thousands of tadpoles, and the people next to us caught a lot of fish. We weren't successful, but it wasn't for a lack of trying. Devon displayed patience I didn't know he had. He never got frustrated and it turns out he and Bryce are really good fisherpeople, I think we owe this to Grandpa Ray and the adventures on his yacht.
I'm helping dad really, I am. Don't you want this wormy thing on here?
I wish you could hear him giggling at the tadpoles, it was priceless.

You Can Call Me Crash...dummy

One might think the adreneline junkie was riding motorcycles, or jumping motorcycles for that matter to bring about such a messed up mug. Nope, being the good dad he is he loaded up the big guys to go to the bmx bicycle park and give me the house to myself for a couple of hours-literally this would have been the first time since the kids have been out of school. Good intentions...I got a call about an hour after they left. Bryce sounded very concerned that dad had crashed and really "messed up his face". My first thought was he was showing off (as only a dad can do) but I could hear him in the backgroud saying, "I wasn't doing anything stupid"
Turns out he was just trying to get a bike down the hill with a water bottle in one hand. OOPS, maybe he should stick to bikes with motors.

Our Favorite Little Spot In The Woods

We love Idaho City. Everyone can ride motorcycles, we can find all kinds of fantastic swimming holes and my favorite part...it's only 45 minutes away. This picture has a special story. The sun was in my eyes and I was enjoying the sun reflecting off the water and giving my children "halos". I wasn't able to see the kids very well and couldn't see Travis at all on the opposite side of the river-he joked there was a full moon, I didn't realize he meant literally. If he finds out I posted this he will come after me with vengence, but since you can't blow it up (not that anyone in their right mind would try) there is a full moon accrossed the river-in the form of his BUTT.
Doesn't he look angelic?? I don't even have photo shop.
Ohhh so cold, but oh so fun.
