Hours and hours of fun.

As you can see Gus is constantly moving in the snow. He would dig and dig just to watch the snow fly. He would run and throw his long legs out and slide in the snow. If he found a pile he would dive in it-it is so much fun to watch him. Keaton is entertained just waiting for his next move.
Travis looks a bit wiped. He's played all day with the neighborhood children...no wonder they come here (all the time). Why just yesterday they came to quietly ask if he would supervise
creation of bottle bombs. He assured me as he gathered my vinegar and baking powder he wouldn't let it get crazy-hmmm...I feel better-NOT!
This was the way they spent the evening after 12+ hours of snow play-I think this is a perfect picture.

December 1, 2010-SNOW DAY!!!!

This beast could not get enough. He dug in it, he slid in it, he ate it-he could NOT get enough.
I didn't get his buddies in here but they worked for 8 tireless hours building a fortress to hide behind in a planned attack of snowball pelting against little brothers and juvenile delinquint father.
"Come on mom-I'm in the middle of something here."
Snack time!!
Hmm...they must not feed me. This child ate more snow (I can't attest to the flavor-we told him only WHITE) than his little body should have been able to hold.
Devon and Haydens igloo-it was very cool but they soon realized not the best design for battle. They had to come all the way out in order to fight back-oh well...it was so much fun! Devon came in and was ransacking drawers. When I asked him what he was in search of, he said a candle for the igloo, "it's really cold in there". Uhh. no. Devon and an open flame-not going to happen. I appreciate the foresight but he would have 'blue darts' lighting up the sky-he's way to much like his dad to ever encourage fire.
The picture of the day!

Christmas Preparations 2011

Oh the peace and quiet of early morning before "they" all get up-they did a lovely job. Now...it's picture time.
My vision for this years Christmas card was Gus, dressed as Santa and 3 little elves. The little elves would not leave the ears on and were such nincumpoops I didn't get anything I could use. It WOULD HAVE BEEN PRICELESS!!
So, I had to concede and pretend I was just getting decorating the tree pics because if I say I have a purpose for a picture they're really OBNOXIOUS-I know hard to believe.
Final result-not bad. Devon looks like he's cursing me a little, but I can always threaten his loot goes back to the store (just kidding my little love).

To Infinity And Beyond!!

Keaton wanted these Buzz wings so bad he could taste them. The commercial comes on and Buzz would quite buzzing around. Bryce didn't think they would be such a great idea. He said in an all too grown up voice, "You do realize he's going to think he can fly (I still don't know if it was a statement or question)"
Rachel is quite the photograher and was able to catch him midflight. If you look closely you can see his footprint indentions still in the couch cushion.
Coming in for a landing. And look we have Uncle Scotty-we don't get many shots of him. I'll bet he's glad he's not the landing pad. Thank you Rachel for the great pics!
