This is the face of summer fun!! We have a top secret spot to take the kids (and finally very good swimming dog) to play in the river. They jump in and float 40 feet then can get out-even in the deepest spot Bryce can touch the bottom. (Side note: Sorry Granny Sandy Keaters was on a field trip with his school friends-we didn't forget him)
It is so much fun sitting back and watching the kids have such fun, but I love that Bryce and Sam are so good to Devon. He is quite a bit younger and shorter, but if they noticed he was struggling keeping up you could here them, "Come on 'D" you can do it!" and they'd make sure he was able to make it.
Here's Bryce swinging in-He was pretty nervous at first and now he's a pro.
Here's Sam, Bryces' other half. We are so lucky he lives next door and they're able to spend every waking moment together. Devon was too fast. I have lots of pictures of him but all you can see is a big splash.
However, he was fortunately floating slow enough I could get this charming photo.
I am not kidding-he was trying to catch fish with his bare hands. Ask me if he had any luck...this is seconds before the big, clumsy Gus comes to help.
Travis is standing in the deep part-all of this and it's only 10 minutes from home.
